Pablo Bellota – Peru

As one of the directors for Champions for Christ International, Pablo has been serving his home nation in the name of Jesus Christ. Each year, using sports as an outreach method, Champions for Christ International enters into national schools, universities, prisons, and sponsored district events to share the Gospel. Having accepted Jesus Christ himself during a sports outreach, Pablo knows first hand how effective sports outreach can be, when the goal is making disciples. After years of playing and coaching basketball at all different levels, it has become clear to Pablo that Peruvians “worship” sports. Generally speaking, Peruvian athletes and spectators alike discipline themselves for the field; however, they do not discipline themselves in spiritual, physical, or mental things. His hope is to see Peruvians desire Jesus more than any other thing in their lives. In Christ, he has faith that it will happen!

Gary serves with ANET, a large apostolic network of churches in Belgium and the PEFY Youth movement. Along with building the Brussels House of Prayer missions base, they have a heart to reach and equip a generation of young people. Kate Saurman – Brazil

Kate Saurman is serving in Brazil under Shores of Grace – a ministry focused on those in prostitution, abusive situations, homelessness, and addiction. She will be training under Meninas Dos Olhos De Deus to prepare for opening a safe house in Recife, Brazil. Recife has become known as one of the world’s worst cities for child sex-trafficking and sexual tourism. There are an estimated 700,000 children in prostitution in Brazil and Recife is the center of that problem. Kate’s passion within this battle is for work on the streets, loving the broken where they are and laying a bridge for them to walk into safety. Alongside street outreach, Kate is photographer. Part of her desire to is raise international awareness of the issue through images that portray the reality and beauty of these people. As an artist, healing through the creative process has become a staple to her ministry. She plans to pursue farther training in art therapy so that this gift may be offered to the girls Shores of Grace will take off the street. For individuals who have endured severe trauma like all of these children have, the non verbal components of art and music are often the most healing way of counseling, identifying, and releasing the intensity of what they have experienced in a gentle and controlled manner. Kate’s heart for Brazil is to learn as much as possible about the human trafficking situation there and love to the fullest capacity all those trapped inside it; to bring dignity and value to the prostitutes on the street and poor in the favelas. Through working with grassroots arts and culture (musicians, creators, seekers of all forms) she believes that family and identity will come to supersede circumstance on all frontiers; seeing a new generation arise whose gifts are nurtured, allowing a culture take root where love prevails. Where the broken can dream again – for more than survival and with a flourishing hope that comes from knowing the depth of God’s love for them.

Mary Vorrath – Norway

In January of 2012, Mary Vorrath, former Director of Teen Mania’s School of Worship & Community Christian Fellowship’s Youth Worship Pastor, will be heading to Norway as a missionary with a vision for Europe in her heart. She will be partnering with the churches in Norway to start planning a School of Worship, raising up worshipers in the knowledge of worship and sending them all over Norway & Europe in churches and cities. She will be residing in Bergen, Norway connected with the church, Norkirken. She will also be traveling across Norway to encourage the churches and equip them in the knowledge of worship. Mary is taking Jesus at His own words when He says “If I be lifted up, I”ll draw all men unto myself.” (John 12:32) As we lift Him up in our worship, His presence draws people. In His presence lives are changed, strongholds are broken, freedom arises. Mary believes God is positioning Norway to be a light to Europe and has even written a song over Norway to encourage the church to arise and shine the glory of the Lord. You can find more information and hear her song on the website: www.maryelizabethmusic.com

They, along with a team of both Belgians and Americans, are starting a house of prayer and missions base. The focus will be in building an alter of prayer and worship in order to change the atmosphere of the city as well as bring a new sound of worship that Europe desperately needs. Shaun & Amanda Wissmann – Peru

Go. Disciple. Baptize. Celebrate.

Our goal and mission is that the Peruvian people, young and old, would have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.  Not only do we want all generations to have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, we want them to be unafraid to share the Good News, and make disciples.  We strive to support Peruvians, not replace them; and we prayerfully do this through intentionally edifying and encouraging the people around us.  As a result of intentional discipleship, we desire to see God raise up healthy church bodies celebrating the Grace and Mercy that God has freely given his Bride.
